Where the yard waste goes
We send nothing to the landfill. We grind brush into mulch and compost leaves, grass, and fine material into screened topsoil. We sell mulch and topsoil at our yard and deliver across the Toledo area. We have run this recycling operation since 2009 and held our EPA certification since 2008.
You bring us yard waste. We turn it into material for other yards. This keeps waste out of the landfill and lowers our costs by reducing freight on mulch and topsoil.
Yard waste questions
What kind of brush do you accept?
Tree branches up to 12 inches in diameter and 8 feet long cost $5 per cubic yard. Larger items require the oversized brush or oversized log rate.
Is there a charge for wood chips?
No. Wood chips are free. Wood chips mixed with logs cost a flat $20 per truck load.
Do you accept clean dirt or sand?
Yes. We accept clean sand or dirt without clay at no charge.
What happens to the brush and yard waste?
We grind brush into mulch and compost yard waste into topsoil here at our yard. We sell this mulch and topsoil. We have done this since 2009 under our EPA certification.
Do you accept leaves and grass clippings?
Call (419) 825-5956 for current leaf and grass acceptance. We primarily take brush and wood.
Can I buy back the mulch and topsoil you make from the yard waste?
Yes. We make our own mulch and our own topsoil from composted leaves and grass right here at the Delta yard, and both are for sale by the yard. Call (419) 825-5956 to order and we can deliver within about 25 miles or load your truck at the yard.
If I am doing a big cleanout instead of dropping brush off, can I rent a dumpster?
Yes. We run roll-off dumpster rental out of the same yard, with sizes from 10 to 40 yards for garage, barn, and demolition cleanouts. You can book a dumpster online by picking your size and dates, or call (419) 825-5956, but keep in mind our dumpsters cannot take hazardous waste, batteries, tires, or asbestos.
