What we bring to Grand Rapids

Whether you're tearing off a roof on one of the old Front Street homes or dressing up a bed near the river, we run dumpsters in five sizes plus bulk topsoil, mulch, sand, and stone up to the village. Pick what you came for:

About Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids sits on the south bank of the Maumee River in Wood County, a small canal village that grew up along the old Miami and Erie Canal. The historic downtown runs along Front Street, with 19th-century brick storefronts and the 1898 Town Hall at the west end of the business district. SR-65 is the main route through the village, the short SR-578 spur ties it up to US-24, and Mary Jane Thurston State Park spreads along the river just west of town. The Bluebird train still runs the line between here and Waterville. From our Delta yard it's about 20 miles south.

Dumpster rental in Grand Rapids

We run all five roll-off sizes into Grand Rapids. The 10-yard suits a bathroom remodel or a heavy load of concrete and dirt, the 15 and 20-yard handle a kitchen tear-out, a flooring job, or a roof, and the 30 and 40-yard are for whole-house cleanouts and contractor builds.

Placement in Grand Rapids depends on where you are. The older lots downtown near Front Street and the river run narrow, with short drives and street parking close in, so the smaller boxes sit better there and we'll plan the spot carefully. Out on the township roads off SR-65 and along the way toward Tontogany and Weston there's more room, so any size drops fine. On a fresh driveway or a hot day we'll set boards under the box so it doesn't mark the surface, and we put it where you want it. If you're not sure about the spot, send a photo when you call.

The jobs we see most around Grand Rapids are roof tear-offs and remodels on the older village homes, basement and garage cleanouts when a place changes hands, and contractor containers parked for the week on the newer builds out in the township. With the river close by, storm cleanup and the haul-off from a flooded basement or a downed tree come up too.

Bulk landscape materials in Grand Rapids

We sell topsoil and mulch by the yard and sand and stone by the ton, and we make the topsoil and mulch ourselves at the yard, so there's no out-of-area trucking baked into what you pay.

The older village lots near the canal and the river take a lot of topsoil to level and reseed, and mulch goes down every spring along the Front Street beds and the homes around Mary Jane Thurston. The low ground near the Maumee holds water, so clean stone for a drive base, a drainage trench, or a French drain earns its keep around here, and decorative river rock dresses up a bed without the upkeep.

Grand Rapids is well inside our 25-mile range, so we deliver materials right to the village, or you can run a truck or trailer up to our Delta yard and we'll load you. Not sure how much you need? Each material page has a calculator that works it out by length, width, and depth. A lot of folks doing a full landscape redo rent a dumpster for the old material and order the new stone and mulch in the same call.

Roads and neighborhoods in Grand Rapids

Downtown Grand Rapids lines up along Front Street, where the restored canal-town storefronts and the 1898 Town Hall sit on the National Register, a block back from the Maumee River. SR-65 carries the through traffic and runs the river toward Waterville one way and Napoleon the other, while the short SR-578 spur and US-24 tie the village into the bigger routes. Mary Jane Thurston State Park and the old Miami and Erie Canal locks run along the south bank just west of downtown, with the Isaac Ludwig Mill, the towpath, and the mule-drawn canal rides at the Canal Experience, and the Bluebird train crosses the river on the long railroad bridge over toward Waterville. Past the village the township roads spread out toward Tontogany, Weston, and the Bowling Green side. Tell us your cross streets when you call and we'll plan placement so the box sits clean and the truck has room to pull out.

Grand Rapids questions, answered

Do you deliver dumpsters to Grand Rapids, Ohio?

Yes. We run all five roll-off sizes into Grand Rapids in Wood County from our Delta yard. Tell us the address and what you're clearing and we'll line up a drop.

Can the dumpster go on my driveway in Grand Rapids?

Usually yes. On a new driveway or a hot day we'll set boards under it so it doesn't mark the surface. The older lots near Front Street and the river run tighter, so send a photo if you're not sure it'll fit.

Do you deliver mulch, topsoil, and stone to Grand Rapids?

Yes. Grand Rapids is inside our 25-mile range, so we deliver materials right to the village, or you can pick up at our Delta yard. Mulch and topsoil are sold by the cubic yard, sand and stone by the ton.

How much mulch or stone do I need?

Lay out the bed in feet, length times width times depth, and run those numbers through the calculator on each material page for a starting figure. Give us a call after and we'll dial it in.

Is this Grand Rapids, Ohio, not Michigan?

Yes, the canal village on the Maumee River in Wood County, off SR-65 south of the Toledo area. That's the Grand Rapids we cover from Delta, not the city in Michigan.

How long can I keep a dumpster in Grand Rapids, and can I book it online?

The standard rental runs 10 days, and extra days are $10 a day if the job on your Front Street or township place runs long. You can book a dumpster online by picking the size and dates, or just call the yard and we'll set it up.

What can't go in the dumpster for a roof tear-off in Grand Rapids?

Roofing shingles and general demo debris are fine, but no hazardous waste, batteries, tires, or asbestos in the box. With the river close by, storm and flooded-basement haul-off is welcome as long as it stays clear of those items.
