Not sure, or mixing materials?

Most loads are a mix, and bulky-but-light debris like furniture and cardboard is about volume, not weight. Tell us what you're clearing out and we'll match you to the right size.

Dumpster size questions

What size dumpster do I need?

It depends on the job. A 10-yard suits small cleanouts and heavy debris like concrete or dirt, the 15 and 20-yard handle most home projects, and the 30 and 40-yard fit big remodels, demolition, and roof tear-offs. Use the calculator above or call and we will size it with you.

How many pickup truck loads does a dumpster hold?

A 10-yard holds about 4 pickup truck loads, and each larger size holds proportionally more. If you can picture how many truckloads your project will make, that is a good way to land on the right size.

What size dumpster is best for a roof tear-off?

Roofers are one of our core customers, and the right size depends on how many squares you are stripping and whether it is one layer or two. Tell us the roof size when you call and we will match you to the right dumpster.

What size dumpster do I need for a garage or barn cleanout?

Garage and barn cleanouts are some of our most common residential jobs, and most fit a 10 or 15-yard, or a 20-yard if you are clearing years of buildup. When in doubt, size up one so you are not stuck making a second run.

How much does each dumpster size cost?

Pricing runs $295 for the 10-yard, $350 for the 15, $400 for the 20, $500 for the 30, and $600 for the 40-yard, each on a standard 10-day rental with extra days at $10 a day. You can see live availability and book any size online.
