What goes in the dumpster
Here is what you can and cannot toss. No surprises.
What's fine
- Everyday household junk and furniture
- Construction and remodel debris: wood, drywall, flooring, trim, cabinets
- Roofing shingles (they're heavy, so mention it when you order)
- Yard waste and brush
- Concrete and brick (heavy, best in a smaller box)
- Appliances without refrigerant
- Mattresses and carpet
What can't go in
- No dirt or soil (the landfill won't take it; bring clean fill dirt to our Delta yard instead)
- No hazardous waste or chemicals
- No wet paint
- No batteries
- No tires
- No asbestos
- No propane tanks or pressurized cylinders
- No flammable liquids or materials
- No medical waste
- No electronics (TVs, monitors, computers)
- No appliances that still hold refrigerant: fridges, freezers, and AC units, unless the refrigerant has been removed
Disposal rules mean these items must be handled separately.

If you have an item on the list and are not sure, call us before you load it. We will let you know.
Common questions
Can I put concrete or dirt in a dumpster?
Concrete and brick are fine, but they are heavy. A smaller box is usually best. Tell us it is a heavy load when you order and we will set you up. Dirt and soil cannot go in the dumpster because the landfill won't take them. You can bring clean fill dirt to our Delta yard.
Can I throw away a mattress?
Yes. You can toss mattresses and carpet in the dumpster.
What about appliances?
Appliances are fine if they do not hold refrigerant. Fridges, freezers, and AC units must have the refrigerant removed first. Then they can go in.
Can I put tires in?
No. Tires cannot go in the dumpster. Disposal rules require them to be recycled separately.
What happens if I put something that isn't allowed in?
We might not be able to take the load, or you may face a fee to sort and dispose of it. If you are in doubt, ask us first.
